SASSA will likely be rendering providers for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency explained it is actually alarmed regarding the substantial variety of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some substantial variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office committed to service the area on a regular basis. The provider position produced for intervention activities a large inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it difficult with the Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more info more sources to enable the servicing of all customers and raise access to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
